Bath Time

Justin takes such good care of Burke. From the get-g0 Justin was changing diapers in the hospital while I was stuck in bed and he hasn't stopped changing them yet. I am not looking forward to him heading back to work on Tuesday. I am so thankful the Army gave him 10 days of paternity leave for free. He decided to take another week while Grammie Becky visits. Grammie said that Justin will have to come home every 3 hours to help me with the changing, etc. and I think she might be right.

Here Justin is helping me with Burke's sponge bath. We can't wait for his cord to fall off so we can give him a real bath. Hopefully he'll like the water.

Professional Photos

Today we traveled to an in-home photography studio to have newborn photos taken of Burke. We were a little on the late side as far as newborn age goes, but he'll look absolutely adorable at 16 days. The photographer did a great job at coaxing him to sleep and posed him in the cutest ways. His last pose was on a sheep skin rug and unfortunately he was so relaxed he took a little poo. We were happy to hear he wasn't the first one to do this. He also pee'd in mommy's hands and pee'd and poo'd in daddy's hands. At least we know his digestive system works quite well!

We can't wait to see the photos and hopefully we'll be able to share them with everyone.

About This Blog

We moved to the Last Frontier during the summer of 2009. Since we are a LONG ways from family we figured a blog was a great way to share our adventures of parenthood and our exploration of Alaska.
